See how VA education benefits work together for military families.
If you have earned or qualify for more than one benefit, the order you use them in matters. Often by thousands of dollars.
From the Post-9/11 GI Bill® to Chapter 35 DEA and GI Bill transfer benefits, the phase approach maps them in the order that gets your family the most.
The Order Matters
A free, plain-language guide to the Post-9/11 GI Bill®, Chapter 35 DEA, the Fry Scholarship, and the phase approach that turns them into options, written for the whole military transition. No signup, no email.
Download the book (free)College Tool
The same phase approach, built into the app: map your benefits, see your roadmap and the totals, and generate a printable worksheet you can hand to the school.
Early reviews.
From the App Store and Google Play. Names removed.
Puts all of my GI Bill information in one convenient location. It helped me efficiently construct a plan so I can use all my benefits in the best manner. Extremely affordable as well. Already forwarded it to my friends that are transitioning out of the service.
The layout is clean, it’s easy to navigate, and everything feels well thought out. I love what the team is trying to build.
Really well thought out. My boys will definitely benefit from this information.
I didn’t know this existed.

Somewhere right now, a parent is doing math at the kitchen table.
In-state versus out-of-state. Whether to use a transferred GI Bill on the kid first, or hold onto it for themselves. They’re doing it from a phone, between two jobs – and the answer changes depending on who picks up at the VA that week.
We have watched it happen too many times. We have done it ourselves. We built this for them.
Built by one military family, for all of them.
This started with one retired Air Force family doing college math by hand, and turned into a tool for every military family doing the same.
While building the book and the app, we kept circling back to the same School Certifying Official material that schools and the VA rely on, until RA realized he could complete the VA's School Certifying Official (SCO) training himself, without being a school or VA employee. He finished it in 2026.
Two short reads: who built it, and why.
Are you a college student? We run a standing internship.
We don’t want your data.
The app doesn’t even need your name.
No account. No login. No tracking. No analytics. No telemetry. The app isn’t built to take your information – it’s built to run your planning on your own device.
No profile, no sign-up
No account, no login. There’s an optional name field for your worksheet – use your real name, a call sign, your initials, or nothing. Whatever you enter stays on your device and never reports back to us.
No location, mic, or camera
We don’t ask for them, because we don’t want them and don’t need them.
Nothing sold – ever
We don’t sell anything about you. There’s no data to sell.
No ads. Not now, not later.
The founder hates ads. You will never see one here.
No purchases buried inside
The only thing you can buy is the $17.99 premium unlock – nothing else.
We keep no records on you
There’s nothing to leak, because there’s nothing to hold.
We respect your privacy so much that we built the app not to need anything about you in the first place.
The one exception is paying for premium. When you subscribe, the purchase is handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play and the secure billing tools that connect to them. Those services have their own security measures and collect what they need to process a payment – we receive only an anonymous indicator that a subscription is active, never your identity. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
The only time we’d ever receive your name or email is if you choose to reach out about the Founders Mentorship Program – and that’s ordinary email, completely separate from the app. Even then, what you share is up to you; a call sign or your initials is just fine.
The app is a planning tool. It is not official.
Every number it produces is an estimate based on currently published rates. VA data can be wrong, out of date, or glitched on the day you happen to log in.
We update our reference data as promptly as we reasonably can, but there may be delays, and the official published source always governs over our copy of it.
So the app does something most tools don’t: it shows you the references behind every number. Every rate, regulation, rule, and source is linked. You will be expected to verify them yourself.
The app does the heavy lifting
It tells you exactly where to look and what to look for.
You verify
Every figure traces back to its source so you can confirm it.
Only officials make it real
A VA rep, VSO, or School Certifying Official produces the actual, approved plan. The app’s output is a starting point for that conversation – never the final word.
The fine print, in plain sight.
Crisis Resources
The app and the Founders Mentorship Team are not crisis services. Anyone in distress is encouraged to contact the Veterans Crisis Line at 988 (then press 1), text 838255, or call 911 in an emergency. The Founders Mentorship Team and the app do not replace professional mental-health, legal, or financial support.
No Affiliation with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
WE GOT YOU 1776, LLC is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or in any way officially connected with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), or any branch of the United States military. The app is an independent third-party planning tool. Use of any acronyms, program names, or VA terminology is for informational reference only. Official benefits guidance comes only from the VA, an accredited Veterans Service Organization, or a School Certifying Official.
Not Legal, Financial, Tax, or Benefits Advice
Nothing produced by WE GOT YOU 1776, LLC – including the app, this website, written materials, or conversations with the founder or team – constitutes legal advice, financial advice, tax advice, investment advice, or VA-accredited benefits advice. The app is an estimation and planning tool. All figures are estimates based on currently published rates. Users are responsible for verifying every figure with the VA directly at 888-442-4551 and with their own qualified professional before acting on any output.
Estimates Only – No Guaranteed Outcome
Every figure the app produces is an estimate for planning purposes only. The app does not determine eligibility, approve benefits, or guarantee any benefit amount, payment, award, admission, or other outcome. Actual eligibility and benefit amounts are determined solely by the VA, the relevant school, and other authorized officials. No result shown in the app is final, binding, or a promise of any kind.
Data Accuracy and Sources
Reference data – rates, rules, enrollment information, and similar figures – is provided “as is” and may contain errors, omissions, or out-of-date information, and may not be available for every school, state, or overseas option. We update this data as promptly as we reasonably can, but delays occur. Where our copy differs from the official published source, the official source controls. Users must confirm any figure against the official source before relying on it.
No VA-Accredited Representation
Neither the founder nor any team member is a VA-accredited claims agent, attorney, or Veterans Service Organization representative. Users requiring representation in a VA claim should contact an accredited VSO or VA-accredited attorney.
