Currently open to adults 18 and over. While we build the program, mentorship is limited to applicants who are 18 or older. Serving younger students with proper guardian involvement is a planned next step. The full terms are below – please read them before you apply.

18 and over only. The program is currently limited to adults 18+. A safeguarded program for younger students, with verified guardian involvement, is a planned next step.

Informal guidance, not professional advice. Mentorship is personal, experience-based guidance. It is not educational counseling, legal, financial, tax, medical, or mental-health advice, and not VA-accredited benefits advice.

Not affiliated with the government. We are not connected to or endorsed by the VA, the Department of Defense, the military, or any scholarship authority. We do not administer or control the Fry Scholarship or any benefit.

No guaranteed outcome. We don’t promise admission, scholarships, financial aid, any dollar amount, or any specific result. Those decisions are made by schools and agencies, not by us.

Email and messaging only, free of charge. At launch the program is run by the founder and conducted in writing. Email is not a secure channel – use good judgment about what you share, and don’t send SSNs, dates of birth, or sensitive documents. If a written-only format isn’t accessible to you, exceptions may be considered on an individual basis when a formal request is submitted; just let us know in your application.

Not a crisis service. If you or someone you know is in distress, contact the Veterans Crisis Line at 988 (then press 1), text 838255, or call 911 in an emergency.

Your information. We use what you send only to review your application and communicate with you, we don’t sell it, and you can ask us to delete it anytime. Florida law governs these terms.

Thank you – your application is on its way. We’ll review it personally and write back. We’ve got you.

Become a mentor

The Founders Mentorship Team will open seats to mentors as the program grows – including future partnerships with veteran and military-family organizations. When it opens, joining won’t be automatic.

Because we’re working with families who have given so much, we will hold mentors to a real standard. Expect an application and a vetting process designed to make sure the people guiding these students are the right ones – good people, doing good things, for the right reasons.

What we’ll look for
  • Background screening and identity verification.
  • Relevant experience with education, the military community, or benefits.
  • A genuine commitment to the mission – and to the students, not to themselves.
  • Agreement to clear conduct standards that keep students safe.

Applications aren’t open yet. Check back as the program expands.
